Maureen Lilly, Chair, Partners in Anaphylaxis Safety Committee.

All nominations will be examined by a select group of representatives from industry, government and non-profit associations. The selection committee will investigate your nomination by reviewing the company's policies and interviewing appropriate candidates.

The recipients will receive commemorative plaques to serve as acknowledgement of their efforts at the annual Anaphylaxis Canada fundraising dinner event to be held at the Metropolitan Hotel in the spring of 2003.

Selection Criteria

    A. Foodservices and Food Manufacturing Industry

    • Implements the guidelines outlined in the CRFA "Allergy Aware" program or FCPMC "Allergy Beware" program or similar guidelines
    • Conducts ongoing assessment of Quality Control, Staff Training, Customer Relations and Communications
    • Requires suppliers to disclose allergen ingredients and advise of any changes to the ingredient processing, production facility or ingredient sourcing
    • Provides ongoing internal and external assessments of all levels of allergen management procedures

    B. Individual Achievement

    • Demonstrates a vision for developing viable solutions to the challenges of anaphylaxis
    • Demonstrates outstanding dedication to reducing the risks of anaphylaxis
