Dear Friends,

We are pleased to invite you to join us at our fourth annual gala dinner “The Faces of Anaphylaxis:  Canada at it’s Best”.  This special evening will showcase Canada’s Team from the "Bocuse d’Or World Culinary Olympics”. The Bocuse d’Or is the premier international cooking competition held every two years in Lyon, France. Twenty-two chefs, representing their respective countries, are invited to vie for top honors by preparing two platters which use specified ingredients and focus on the taste.  Christopher Mills will represent Canada under the expert guidance of Michael Nobel.

Donating their time for our cause, the chefs will recreate the menu they used in competition, focusing on Canada’s best food and wine.  Our gala dinner promises to be the culinary highlight of 2001.  The evening will also include twenty-five unique Silent Auction items and the Draw for our fabulous Raffle Prizes.

Children who live with life-threatening allergies are a joy, but every day represents an extreme challenge to them, their families, educators and caregivers.  When our efforts have led us closer to a cure, we will be able to give these special children a most precious gift indeed.   For invitation and reservation information call :  AFC Fundraising Office at:  416-431-1917. If you are unable to attend, please consider making a donation.

Your support and involvement is greatly needed and appreciated. Together we can be the example of “Canada at it’s Best” working toward a cure for anaphylaxis.

Yours truly,

Marilyn Allen,

Vice President AFC
